Mary started Avani Original Art in the spring of 2013. The name “Avani”, Sanskrit for earth, honors the natural world, the source of her inspiration. Her hand painted scarves in silk, cotton and bamboo/rayon are one of a kind due to her unique painting process of allowing designs to evolve organically. She will also be showing silk wall hangings, sarongs and headband scarves.
